as an outstanding example of heritage conservation.
The Heritage Port Hope Advisory Committee, an advisory committee to Municipal Council, is dedicated to the promotion of the preservation and conservation of heritage within the Municipality of Port Hope. Each year we recognize and pay tribute to individuals, businesses, organizations or institutions which have contributed to the preservation and restoration of heritage with an annual Heritage Achievement Award.
The nominees may have preserved, restored, researched, created heritage educational programs, or authored interpretive books that in some way helped to conserve or highlight the heritage resources within the Municipality of Port Hope. Award Categories (maximum of one award per category) include:

Nominations can be submitted by:
• Heritage Port Hope Advisory Committee
• Staff or Council members of the Municipality of Port Hope
• Residents of the Municipality of Port Hope
The Heritage Achievement Award will be presented at the Municipal Council meeting in conjunction with the annual Heritage Week celebrations during the week of February 15 -21, 2016.
Nominations will be reviewed and the successful recipient will be selected by the Heritage Port Hope Advisory Committee. All nominations will be received in confidence.
